What kind of things can I do with your video platform?

Vidflex™ allows you to manage and share your online video content with a global audience. Also, you have the opportunity to charge for access to your videos if desired.

What are the system requirements for using your video platform?

A supported device and an internet connection are required to access and manage your platform. For optimal performance, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome.

Does Vidflex™ take a cut of my sales?

No. You keep 100% of the revenue you generate. You’ll pay some processing fees to Stripe when you take payments, but that’s it.

If you choose our new Local Sports Live option, you'll still get all the features of an e-commerce Vidflex™ site, but with a shared revenue model. You have full control over the pay-per-view and package options, as well as a dedicated support team to build your site, provide customer support to your viewers, manage your events, and provide all the necessary training. Best of all, there's no upfont costs to get you started.

What equipment do I need if I want to live stream on the platform, Can I use my phone?

Yes, A video camera, DSLR, or even your smartphone. Just about anything that can record video works for live streaming. You’ll also need encoding software, which you can get for free.

How much can I stream or store with 1GB?

It depends on the quality of your video and a few other things, but 1GB is about an hour of viewing.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes! You can use your own domain or subdomain for your videos. It’s easy to add your own branding for white labeling, too.

What if I go over my storage or streaming limits?

Not to fear! You will be notified in advance if you’re getting close to your streaming and storage limits. If you are getting close, you have a few options: #1 – You can upgrade your plan at any time #2 – Purchase additional streaming/storage at the overage rate indicated in your plan.

Account & Billing

Why is my Vidflex Site Unavailable?

Your video platform site may be unavailable for one of these reasons:

  • Your site is undergoing scheduled maintenance. Typically, this only takes a few minutes. For details, check your inbox for an email from Vidflex Support. Your site should be up and running again very soon.
  • You've deactivated your site. Your account has been suspended due to a missed payment. This may be unintentional and due to credit card expiry or billing error. 
  • Your account has been blocked due to a Terms of Use violation.

In general, Vidflex Support will contact you first before we suspend, deactivate, or block your site. Notifications are sent to the email address that you used to sign up for Vidflex.

How can I update the credit card on my account?

What payment methods do you accept? 

We accept all major credit cards, such as Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

Video Upload

I've uploaded a video. How long does it take for the video to process?

After you've successfully uploaded a video file, it'll begin processing which means that the file is being prepared for publishing to your site. The time that it takes for a video file to process depends on a number of factors such as the file size of the video.

Here are examples of two different file sizes and their approximate processing times:  100MB — 10 minutes 2GB — 30 minutes

Note: that these are rough estimates as processing times can vary.

To know if your video file has finished processing, go to your Library screen to view the status of the video. Or, click the Edit button the VOD container you want to check and then click its Videos tab to see the status.

If your video is still processing, the status will display as 'Processing' When your video is ready for use on your site, its status will update to  Success.

Can I upload more than one video at a time?

You can only upload one video file at a time. After you've successfully uploaded a video file, it'll begin processing, which means that the file is being prepared for publishing to your site. While the file is processing, you can start uploading another video file.

My video upload has failed. How can I resolve this?

  1. Your video upload may have failed for one or more of the following reasons: A You attempted to upload a file type that's not supported. Please see the Video Format Recommendations topic and ensure you're uploading a file type that meets the requirements.

OR

3. The upload process was interrupted for one or more of the following reasons:

  • During a video file upload, if you closed the upload window before the upload process has completed, this would cause the upload to fail.
  • If your computer went into sleep mode during a video file upload, thus the upload couldn't be completed. If you want to step away from your computer for a period of time while a video file is uploading, ensure that your computer's sleep mode is disabled.
  • If there was an interruption in your internet connection during the upload, this would cause your video file upload to fail. Check your internet connection and try to upload the video file again.
