Your Vidflex video site displays text in English as the default language. You can add the Multi-Language feature if you want your viewers to have the ability to view your site's content in more than one language. With this feature, you can easily add your own translated content and enable or disable language selection for your site.

Once you've enabled and configured the Multi-Language feature, your viewers will see a language selection drop-down on your site.

front end interface). Any text that's based on user input will require you to manually add translated content. This includes the following:

  • Branding - Your site name
  • Videos and text that's associated with a video (i.e., title, descriptions, etc.)
  • Pages that contain text
  • Widgets that contain text
  • Menus in the header and footer
  • Attribute groups and attributes
  • Social sharing of video content - you can share your content in different languages on social media platforms

Enabling Multi-Language

Before you enable a language for your site, you should first set up the translated pages, videos, menus and any other applicable content.

If you enable a language without adding translated content, your viewers will be able to select that language on your site, but they'll see an error message that says, "The page you are looking for does not exist in [selected language]".

Enabling this feature, adds a language selection drop-down on the header of your site.

First, log in to the admin panel.

  1. In the left menu, under Global Settings, go to Localization > Language.
Any available languages will appear on this page
  2. Use the toggles to enable or disable a language.
You can't disable English, which is the default language.

Once this feature is enabled, your viewers will see the language selection drop-down on your site.
