Clipping

Introduction

Vidflex™ is excited to release our newest feature, clipping. With clipping you can now create highlight clips between 6-30 seconds in length, download them to your device, and upload and share them on your favorite social media platforms. Clipping can be done from a desktop, or mobile device.

Getting Started

Before you can start clipping a game, you must make sure the following parameters are met:

  • Your persistent stream is turned on

  • Your live stream is sending to the game container

  • You have clicked the "Go Live" button, and your event is "Live"

Where to Find Clipping

To get to the Clipping feature follow the steps below:

  • Inside Event Day Manager, click your game title

  • From the Single Event View, click the "View Event Container" link in the top right corner

  • While inside the container, click the "Clips" tab on the top toolbar

Using the Clipping interface

  • Wait for the first 30 seconds of the live stream after clicking the go live button for the "Trim" button to appear on the clipping screen
  • Use the time slider to find the section where you would like to start clipping

  • Click the "Start Trim" button

  • Use the clip controls to adjust the length of the clip up to 30 seconds maximum per clip, you can manually move the length sliders by moving the ends of the green bar, or select a preset time length underneath

Clips in this beta version have a length of 6 seconds each. So, if your clip is 8 seconds long, it will be rounded up to the next interval and become 12 seconds, etc..

  • Once you are happy with your clip, click the "Trim & Save" button

Using Your Created Clips

  • In the Clips drop down, you have 4 buttons for your clips

  1. Preview your clip
  2. Rename the clip by double clicking the name
  3. Download the clip to your device
  4. Delete the clip

Limitations

  • You can capture up to 20 clips per event, you can download and then delete existing clips to create more room if needed
  • You can also create clips after the game has been ended, up to 48 hours after, before the game will be archived, and clipping is no longer available
